Kinokuniya might just be the most impressive bookstore in Australia. Its not hard to spend hours here browsing the seemingly endless shelves. The first Kinokuniya opened in Tokyo in the 1920s, and since then theyve stayed true to their belief that bookstores can do more than just sell books. Kinokuniya stores have become creative hubs for theatre, art, design and literature. The Sydney store plays host to an art gallery, workshops, themed nights and book launches.
