Weve rounded up the best of Cronullas restaurants to tempt you south. As well as the relaxed eateries youd expect, there are a few fine dining options thrown into the mix so expect the unexpected (and some incredible seafood).

Summer Salt

There is no better view in the South than the one at Summer Salt. You cant possibly get any closer to the water without needing to don some swimwear. Floor to ceiling glass windows make the most of the view, but if you can manage to draw your eyes away, youll find plenty to like on the menu. Barbeque prawns with lemon kipfler, apple balsamic pearls, bernaise and kipfler crisps make way for chargrilled spatchcock with charred cos, hazelnut puree, grapefruit and jus, and whole fried baby snapper with coconut red curry and coconut rice. Dessert is equally as delightful with dishes like elderflower jelly, vanilla sponge, lime pate de fruit and candied lime.

Eat Burger

After a morning spent at the beach, a burger and chips is just what were after. Taking the idea of the local burger joint to the next level, it’s easy to see why Eat Burger is one of the most popular eateries in the area. Keep it coastal with the fish burger (made using the freshest market fish and crumbed in-house) or go classic with a cheeseburger. A side of sweet potato fries and chargrilled corn keeps the hungry hoards satisfied. Oh, and did we mention the shakes? Well take a salted caramel and peanut praline, please.

Henrys

Impeccably designed cocktail bars are no longer found only in the city. Tipples include the Ipanema (aperol aperitif, fresh lemon juice and passionfruit) or the Downthyme (Lillet Blanc, fresh lemon and mandarin juice and thyme syrup). If you fancy something to eat, the menu is fresh and light with a seafood focus. Try the crispy whitebait wth habanero mayo and lime or the 400g steak with sea urchin butter, pickled turnips, burnt leeks and veal jus.

Gerrale St Kitchen

This all-day eatery is everything you want in a neighbourhood restaurant. A woodfired oven sits at the heart of the restaurant and turns out everything from whole suckling pigs to flatbreads. The menu ranges from BBQ octopus and greek salad to artichoke linguine and wood-fired lamb shoulder.
