When it comes to coffee, South Yarra-siders are spoilt for choice. Weve sifted through the pile, bean by bean, to bring you our five favourite South Yarra coffee spots.

Drugstore Espresso

The counter of this cosy coffee spot sits right on the Toorak Road sidewalk, making it easy to grab a takeaway and go. Theres a split level with seating tucked away behind and above the counter, so you can grab a spot there if you want to watch the bearded baristas do their beautiful work.

Two Birds One Stone

This light-filled caf is an excellent place to sit and sip a coffee. The dcor is elegant but laid-back, with a glossy white-tiled wall and greenery suspended from the ceiling in macram slings. And, of course, the coffees are considered some of the best in South Yarra.

The Pound Caf

Tucked down Oxford Street (just off Chapel), The Pound is a very popular little place. The seating is limited, but singles and small groups should be able to find a spot most times. Or you can grab one of their superb coffees to take with you on your travels.

5/566 Chapel St, South Yarra 3141

Market Lane Caf

Several of Market Lanes five locations have made our Top 5 coffee lists. These coffee extraordinaires source their beans from fair trade farmers around the world, which they then roast and brew themselves. We love their coffee and their sense of social responsibility.

Darling

Marble, gold and great coffee. The rich accents of this Darling Street caf match the luxe coffee and food perfectly if youre looking for a place to meet a mate for Sunday brunch, this is your spot.
