Warm up by the fireplaces with mouthwatering cheese and incredible drinks to match at The Westin Melbourne this winter.
This winter, let cheese ignite your senses at The Westin Melbourne when it teams up with Maker & Monger to deliver High Cheese, an extra cheesy take on the hotel’s popular High Tea.
Running through the entirety of winter, with its launch on the 11th of June, High Cheese will offer delectable cheeses in both sweet and savoury dishes. What’s waiting on the menu is definitely guaranteed to provide you with a cheese experience like no other.
Savoury temptations include basil crème fraîche layered brie with crackers and the mini baguettes you can rip apart and dip into the cheesy deliciousness of baked Normandy Camembert with garlic and thyme. While the savoury is tempting, be sure to also leave room for the sweet delights. The menu includes the tiramisu with Kahlua coffee syrup soaked chocolate cake or the cannoli with whipped vanilla bean ricotta and honey.
What’s more, High Cheese swaps out the traditional scones and cream for scones served with creamed Giorgio Cravero Reggiano, the number one Reggiano affineur in the world.
Westin Executive Chef, Michael Greenlaw has worked closely with Anthony Femia from Maker & Monger to source the ‘best in show’ of cheeses from across the world to be part of the line up.
‘We’re excited to be collaborating with Maker & Monger on High Cheese, bringing cheese to the forefront, and offering guests something different and warming this winter,’ said Westin Executive Chef, Michael Greenlaw.
‘We look forward to providing each and every patron of The Westin Melbourne with an incredible sensory experience via the High Cheese offering and hope to educate about these amazing cheeses at the same time, said Maker & Monger Owner, Anthony Femia.
High Cheese is $70 per person and will be available seven days a week from 4pm. For those wishing to match wine with their cheese, there will be varieties available per glass from Ten Minutes by Tractor, Shaw + Smith or port from Penfolds.
