Remember the famed Seven Nightclub? Having been open since 1999 in South Melbourne it’s likely you have. Last month, Lobby Coffee and Wine opened its doors in this spot, the first piece of Andrew Ryan and Sam Daish’s redevelopment of Seven Nightclub.

Lobby Coffee & Wine offers breakfast and lunch with their menu primarily focused on a handful of foods including bagels, Urban Projuice vegan products, Butterbing Cookie Sandwiches and Who I Is Health Bars. Bagels on the menu feature fillings such as the Avocado, marinated goat’s cheese, dill and lemon or for something a little sweeter, the peanut butter and maple syrup is a must.

This month, from May 14th, Lobby Coffee and Wine will be opening its doors in the evening to serve a variety of bar snacks and antipasto style charcuterie and cheese platters, ready to compliment their local wines on offer.

Designed by Genesin Studio, the previously run down 80’s style Lobby has been transformed into an intimate grey scaled eatery. Up to 20 diners can sit out the front of the venue, or alternatively 15 inside.

But Andrew Ryan and Sam Daish’s haven’t finished there. There are current works continuing for the ground level with an Asian Fusion restaurant / bar and on the first floor exciting renovations are occurring with works to convert the space into a cocktail and spirit bar that also features a karaoke room and a private space. This is set to be named Albert House. Sadly you’ll be waiting around 12 months for this to roll out, but we couldn’t help but share this.

Keep an eye out, and be sure to visit Lobby Coffee and Wine!
