Lamaros Hotel in South Melbourne will be teaming up with Jim Barry Wines for a night of exceptional fine wine and dining.
Join Lamaros Executive Chef Geoff Lindsay on Thursday 16th August for a spectacular dinner as he teams up with Sam Barry of Jim Barry Wines.
Known for its special events throughout the year, this dinner will not disappoint, with Chef Lindsay creating a delicious five-course menu sitting perfectly with paired wines from the Clare Valley winery.
The first course of the night will be a glass of 2017 Jim Barry Assyrtiko, served with a salad of slow braised greenlip abalone with lambs tongue, sea asparagus, cucumber, daikon, shiso sprout, and dashi vinaigrette. This will be followed by the 2017 Jim Barry The Florita Riesling and Port Phillip Bay scallops on the half shell with nashi pear, vietnamese mint, avocado and finger lime.
For the third course, Chef Lindsay will be dishing up red gum grilled venison paired with the 2015 Jim Barry Coonawarra Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and 2013 Jim Barry The Benbournie Clare Cabernet Sauvignon.
The fourth course will feature a delicious wagyu beef rib with the 2014 Jim Barry The McRae Wood Clare Valley Shiraz and 2015 Jim Barry Single Vineyard Clare Valley Shiraz.
Rounding out the night perfectly will be manchego cheese with black figs, cherry and fennel seed bread paired with the 2013 Jim Barry The Armagh Shiraz.
Host for the evening is Sam Barry, who will be there to provide notes on each wine for the night.
