It was only a matter of time until Brunswick got even cooler. And with the suburbs recent influx of craft beer and urban wine, there are fewer reasons than ever to postcode-hop.

First, Noisy Ritual its Melbournes first people-powered urban winery. We love this place! It all started in 2014 when a few friends discovered a concrete wine fermentation bunker under their mates house. After discovering the bunker, they did what anyone would have done; ordered the half-tonne of Shiraz grapes that would become their first batch of wine. Noisy Ritual is a brilliant place to hang out with a lively buzz and an ever-flowing supply of beautiful wine.

Right up the road, we have Alehouse Project. This spacious bar is tap central with a dozen taps dedicated to twelve different microbrewery beers. If youre in the mood for a new brew, this is your destination. The bar staff are super-knowledgeable, so you wont be flying blind.

Also for the beer buffs, Temple Brewing Company is Brunswicks very own craft brewery. Locals are very proud of the place and with good reason the brews are darn delicious and theyve made their way to every corner of Australia. Temple is a place to drink great beer, tuck into a snack and learn a bit about the brewing process.

Further up Lygon Street, another wine joint is bringing joy to vino-loving locals. ReWine offers some of Australias finest wines straight from the barrel. Based on wine shop models seen throughout Europe, ReWine is a refill-based wine shop. So, you buy some wine, enjoy it at home then bring the empty bottle back for a refill. We love how the ReWine team encourages you to have fun with the setup; for instance, you can get them to blend multiple wines on the spot for a one-of-a-kind drop.

Stumble due west and youll come across BrewCult Bar. The BrewCult team are hop-sessed with beer. They serve their own scrumptious brews at the bar, but they also offer a huge range of craft beers beyond their own labels. The selection is hand-picked by the founder, who has an undying love for the drink.

No matter how thirsty you are, that should keep you quenched for awhile. Heres to Brunswick, Melbournes boutique booze capital!
