Novice or nerd, sherry enthusiasts can taste their way around Melbourne this International Sherry Week (8 14 October 2018) as Spanish venues Bomba and Aada Bar & Restaurant, and neighbourhood bottle shop Samuel Pepys plan a host of celebrations.

Shedding light on the highly versatile fortified wine, Gertrude Street institution Aada Bar & Restaurant will prepare a flight of three tapas matched to a selection of vibrant sherries, whilst sibling Bomba will curate a unique four-course lunch, designed to showcase how sherry can be used within cooking.

Amongst the city skyline, Bomba Rooftop bartenders will be shaking up a series of sherry-infused cocktails, championing the tipple all week-long. If amongst all the action, a penchant for sherry is born, admirers can peruse bottles of their new obsession amongst the shelves at Northcote wine store, Samuel Pepys, where tastings will also be available throughout the week of some unsung heroes.
