They have a huge range of scrumptious vegan and vegetarian foods including vegan lasagne, tofu salads and even pumpkin cheesecake (who knew that was even a thing). Very reasonably priced, this cafe even attracts omnivorous customers keen to see what all the raving is about. Make sure you also try the epic mango lassi!


Elk Espresso

Run by some of Gold Coasts hippest crew, Elk is a huge favourite among both locals and tourists alike needing no introduction. With the MOST EPIC specialty range of absolute thick-thick-thick-thickshakes including Nutella, Caramello Koala, Bounty, and the Kickarse (to name a few), these guys have it sorted. Located inside a rustic, arty building with exposed brick, elk wallpaper and polished concrete floor, this venue is the definition of awesome. Try their Breakfast Burger ($16) with Byron Bay bacon, fried egg, chutney, avo and feta mash, jalapeos, spinach and cheese. They also do a mushroom version for vegos.
